Emil Österholm

A working method close to the material, centred around the joy of creation, sees Emil attempting to understand the clay and its means of expression. Emil draws inspiration for his inventive sculptures and powerful practical pottery in wood-fired stoneware from the contemporary world and the past but especially from the craft of pottery and his own imagination. Emil’s dynamic pieces are characterised by a desire to constantly develop and improve his skill, pairing ambition with a direct and playful approach.
