An interest in plants and growing is clearly visible in Martin’s work and it is in the bonsai pot that we find the origin of his powerful ceramics, close to nature. With passionate inspiration, he creates sculptural pieces and large practical items. Stone, moss and bubbling water inspire living surfaces that gain their character from wood and salt firing. Martin’s work invites viewers to embark on a voyage of discovery to an unknown destination where the lost wanderer finally finds exactly where they want to be.
