Tova wants her ceramics to convey life and greenery. She wants the viewer to get close and really study the decor, see all the different shapes and figures hiding behind each other - the more you look, the more you discover. Tova's inspiration comes from nature and its' vegetation. When she is about to start a new work, she goes through her old sketchbooks, in them she often discovers a shape or a pattern that she wants to develop further.

 Tova works mainly in stoneware clay. She paints the decoration on the ceramics by hand using a brush and underglaze. When she works with utility objects, she likes to cast or roll out the objects. She works a lot with relief and "sprigs" (clay detail formed in print form) which she applies to the objects when they are leather hard.
